The National Institute of Mental Health lists Autism Spectrum Disorder as the 8th highest mental/behavior disorder in the world. The numbers are changing, but there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to understand ASD and to treat it with the highest success for it's patients.

Soco Magic has hosted the Lighting The Way - Dance for Autism event for five years now, and for ten years she's hosted the Lighting The Way - Autism Awareness Event. This is a cause that's hit close to home for Soco as it does for many who know of or cares for someone who has ASD.

"The reason I started Lighting The Way was because of my two children, whom both are on the autism spectrum. It was during this time I craved a means in which I could play an instrumental role in lighting the path from darkness for people who were diagnosed autistic. My son suffers from the most severe form of autism while my daughter has the milder form known as Aspergers, so I decided to utilize SL as my platform for building awareness."

- Soco Magic

Chances are you know someone who has ASD, and if you do then you know just how important it is to find top notch treatments - and hopefully a cure!

We at Dance Xcetera are always happy to help promote awareness about Autism, and perhaps one day we can celebrate a cure! In the meantime, our team has put together a fun program lineup that will lift your spirits and hopefully open those linden wallets to contribute to such a worthy cause. Bring your special someone, your friends, and family to our show, we promise you won't be dissappointed! Do it for the cause! Hosted by Aryanna Draken. Program info is below, we hope you can make it to this very special performance!
