Dance Xcetera is honored to participate in the Lighting the Way – Dance for Autism benefit variety show, a special event dedicated to raising awareness and support for individuals and families affected by autism.

Autism, or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is a developmental condition that affects communication, behavior, and social interaction. Because it is a spectrum, every individual experience autism differently. Today, approximately 1 in 36 children in the United States are diagnosed with autism, making awareness and community support more important than ever.

This incredible event has been organized by SoCo Magic-Trallis for 16 years, with the Dance for Autism show now in its 11th year as part of the larger Lighting the Way Autism Awareness celebration in Second Life. What started as a heartfelt effort has grown into a month-long event filled with performances, shopping, and community activities that help shine a light on autism awareness.

Our variety performance will feature a mix of creative dances designed to entertain while supporting this meaningful cause. We encourage all guests to explore the Lighting the Way sim, visit the booths, and enjoy the many other performers and acts taking part throughout the event.

This cause is very personal not only for SoCo, but also for members of the Dance Xcetera family who have their own connections to autism.

Join us for an evening of entertainment, community, and compassion — and make it your family-friendly date night destination. Together, we can help light the way for autism awareness. Program Information coming soon!
